Do I even need a website? I'm already busy.
Being busy is great — but being busy today doesn't guarantee you'll be busy six months from now. A website is a permanent asset that keeps working whether you're on a job, on holiday, or asleep. It's the one part of your online presence you own and control. Google can change how your listing shows up. Reviews can get filtered or removed. Social platforms change their rules. Your website stays yours. If you're already busy, a website helps you get the jobs you want — the better-paying ones, the ones in the areas you prefer, the ones that come with less hassle. It also means referrals can find you, check you out, and book with confidence instead of wondering if you're legit.
Google Business Profile and reviews are enough, right?
They're important — we'd never tell you to ignore your Google Business Profile or reviews. But they're not yours. Google decides what shows up, in what order, with what information. A Google listing doesn't let you show your full service list, your best project photos, your service areas in detail, or a clear enquiry path. It doesn't let you explain why you're different from the guy down the road. And if Google changes its rules or algorithm, your visibility can drop overnight. Your website is the part you control. It works alongside your Google presence — sending people who find you on Google to a proper, professional site where they can see your work and book a job.
Why pay for a website when I get leads from word of mouth?
Word of mouth is the best lead source there is — but it has a ceiling. It only reaches people who already know you or know someone who does. A website extends word of mouth: when someone recommends you, the first thing the person does is Google your name. If they find a proper website, it confirms the recommendation. If they find nothing — or just a social media page — they might hesitate or go with someone else. A website also captures the people who are searching for a tradesperson in your area and haven't been recommended to anyone yet. Those are jobs you're currently losing to the tradesperson who does have a website.
Can't I just use Facebook or Instagram instead?
Social media is useful for showing work and staying in touch with people who already follow you. But you don't own your social audience — the platform controls who sees your posts, and they change the rules constantly. A Facebook page also doesn't look like a real business to someone comparing you against a competitor with a proper website. Your website is the place where you control the message, the layout, the photos, the enquiry form, and the follow-up. Social media sends people there. Your website closes the job.
How long does it take to build my website?
Starter and Standard are usually built within 48 hours from when we receive your content. Pro is usually built within 72 hours. That means your business name, services, photos, service area, and any branding you have. Once we've got that, we build your first version and send you a preview link. If you need changes, we do one round of revisions during the preview stage before deployment.
What's included in the price?
Every package includes a professionally designed, mobile-responsive website deployed to your domain. Starter gives you 3 pages (Home, Services, Contact) with a contact form. Standard adds 5–7 pages, an enquiry/booking form with date/time picker, photo gallery, Google Maps, and enhanced local SEO. Pro adds custom design (up to 10 pages), blog, Google Analytics, customer reviews, and live calendar booking integration where suitable. All packages include SSL, basic SEO setup, one round of revisions, and one standard available domain up to $25 for the first year. What's not included: premium domains, auction or brokered domains, domains above the allowance unless you approve and pay the difference, stock photography fees, paid advertising, custom backend systems (customer portals, invoicing, CRM integration — ask for a quote).
How much does it cost?
Starter is $39 per month. Standard is $79 per month. Pro is $109 per month. There is no setup fee and no deposit. Each package runs on a 12-month minimum term, then you can cancel with 30 days written notice.
Is there a setup fee or deposit?
No. The build starts through a monthly subscription instead of an upfront deposit. Your subscription covers the website build, hosting, SSL, DNS management, standard domain setup within the allowance, and ongoing maintenance. The minimum term is 12 months.
Do I own the website when it's done?
You own your finished website content and can keep using the live site while your subscription is active. It's deployed to your domain, or to a standard domain we register for you if you do not already have one. We retain ownership of our reusable templates, design framework, and build system. If you cancel after the 12-month minimum term, we can help you transfer the site or domain where practical, but you become responsible for hosting, updates, security, DNS, and future domain renewals.
Do I need to provide photos?
Ideally, yes. Photos of your work make a huge difference. But if you don't have any yet, we can use high-quality stock images as placeholders, and you can swap them out later. We'll send you a simple guide on what photos work best.
What if I don't have a domain name?
No problem. One standard available domain is included with your website package up to $25 for the first year. If you already have a domain, we'll connect the site to it. Premium domains, brokered domains, auction domains, unusual expensive extensions, and domains above the allowance are not included unless you approve the extra cost first.
What's included in the monthly subscription?
The monthly subscription includes the website build, hosting, SSL, DNS management, security updates, standard domain renewal up to $25 per renewal year, uptime monitoring, and small content changes. Starter is $39/mo, Standard is $79/mo, and Pro is $109/mo. It does not include new pages outside your package scope, major redesigns, custom backend systems, paid advertising, premium domain costs, above-allowance domain renewals, or SEO work beyond the technical basics included with the site.
Can I cancel the subscription?
The subscription has a 12-month minimum term. After that, you can cancel with 30 days written notice. If we registered a domain for you, you can transfer it away or take over renewal before the next renewal date. If you want to come back later, we can discuss restarting support.
What's in the monthly site health report?
The site health report is included with Pro Care and is sent once a month by email. It covers: • Uptime — what percentage of the month your site was online, plus any downtime incidents • Visitor numbers — how many people visited, with a comparison to the previous month • Top pages — which pages got the most views • Search performance — what keywords people used to find your site on Google, and your ranking position • Site checks — confirmation that all pages are loading, links work, contact forms function, and no broken images • Issues found — anything we spotted and fixed, or anything that needs your attention The report pulls data from Vercel Analytics (traffic), Google Search Console (search performance), and UptimeRobot (uptime monitoring). It's a clear summary — no jargon, no dashboards to log into.
What if I don't like the website?
Every package includes one round of revisions during the preview stage before deployment. If something's not right, tell us before approving the final preview and paying the remaining balance. If it can't be resolved, see our Refund Policy for full details.
What does the booking feature include?
Standard includes an enquiry/booking form with a date/time picker — customers can request an appointment and you get an email with the details. Pro can include live calendar booking integration, where suitable, by connecting your website to a supported booking tool such as Google Calendar appointment schedules, Microsoft Bookings, Calendly, TidyCal, or Cal.com. If you need help setting up the calendar tool itself, contact us and we can discuss your specific needs. Availability, reminders, cancellations, and day-to-day calendar management remain controlled by your calendar or booking tool. Starter includes a simple contact form (name, email, message) — no date/time picker.
Will my website show up on Google?
Every website we build includes basic SEO: meta tags, page titles, alt text, and a Google-optimised structure. Standard and Pro packages include enhanced local SEO with schema markup and local keyword targeting. SEO takes time to work — we set the technical foundation correctly, but ranking depends on your area, competition, and how long your site's been live. We don't guarantee specific rankings — no honest SEO provider can. What we do is implement SEO best practice that gives your site the best chance of climbing over time.
Do you work with trades outside the UK?
Yes. We work with tradespeople in the UK, the US, and other suitable markets. Pricing is in GBP for UK clients and USD for clients outside the UK. The process is the same — we just adjust for time zones when scheduling calls.
What trades do you build websites for?
Plumbers, electricians, builders, roofers, plasterers, painters, carpenters, landscapers, gas engineers, HVAC technicians, tilers, drain specialists, pest control, and any other trade where customers search online before calling. If you're a tradesperson without a website, we can help.
Can I see examples of your work?
Yes — check our Demos page for working demo sites. We have examples for a plumber, an electrician, and a builder. Each one is a demo website you can click through and explore.
Do you offer SEO services?
Yes, but the SEO add-on price is not set yet. We are testing what the setup and monthly delivery actually involve before selling it as a paid add-on. Every website package still includes the technical basics: metadata, page titles, mobile structure, schema markup, and a clean sitemap. We do not guarantee specific rankings or traffic numbers. No honest SEO provider can.
How do I get started?
Go to our Get Started page, pick your package, fill in the form with your business details, and start the subscription. We'll send you a content form within 24 hours. Once you send that back, Starter and Standard are usually built within 48 hours (72 hours for Pro).
